Behind MiRock
MiRock wasn't built by someone new to these problems. The work came first — the firm came after.
Long before MiRock existed, the work it now does for clients was already being done in the real world: renegotiating supplier contracts that had crept out of control, going department by department to understand where money was actually going, rebuilding finance functions fragmented across multiple entities, leading complex ERP migrations, supporting business divestitures, negotiating office leases in and out, and leading relocations and new office setups from the ground up.
That experience spans more than 30 years across religious organisations, healthcare, manufacturing, non-profits and internet service providers. It began with a strong finance foundation but grew well beyond finance — into managing legal, compliance and regulatory teams, facility teams, and billing and client service call centres.
Not all of that experience came from getting things right the first time. Some came from getting things wrong, understanding why, and making sure the same mistake was not repeated. In many respects, those lessons are the ones that matter most.
MiRock is built on that experience. Not on a framework borrowed from a textbook, but on decades of actually doing the work — under pressure, with real money, real deadlines and real relationships on the line.
That is what shapes how MiRock works today: practical, hands-on and deliberately uncomplicated. We get close enough to understand what is really happening, focus on what actually needs fixing, and get on with the work — without expecting clients to pay us to learn the fundamentals.
